Parts with Prices was born out of frustration with the existing facilities on the internet for finding information on engineering components.

The product lists on Parts and Prices are human edited and includes webs sites with at least one of the following

• Prices
• Drawings
• Selection and Installation data

The selection process has weeded out all those non informative capability statements that seem to make up most of the engineering company web pages.

Partswithprices.com is not a definitive list of engineering products but more a guide to what's available out there. To this end the product categories can be generic or specific. Products that are novel or specific will have a category that is narrowly defined, where as the more generic the product is the more inclusive the category will be. Categories can also be sub divided where there are differences in the product ranges of the listed companies.

The web sites on the product lists vary from those with a single product to extensive ranges. The companies also range from the small trader to multinationals which may or may not allow single cash sales or maybe trade only. Some may sell to order, while others supply in prepared packs.

Whilst it is our intention to live up to our name, a number of web sites are included which do not have prices. This could be for one of the following reasons.

• The web site may have useful information relating to the product that is not on the web sites with prices
• The web site may have some novel product that is not supplied elsewhere or
• Where only one or two web sites with the products prices have been found

Adverts and sponsored links are not governed by the selection rules for the product list.

The human element in the selection and documenting process will inevitable lead to some inaccuracies or omissions if you become aware of any please do not hesitates to contact us.

At the present time the partswithprices.com web site is new and under continuous development. In the coming months we intend to add tools to aid navigation as well as more companies and categories to the listings.
